Every person deserves independence.

Having a sense of community is indispensable to any individual. With consistent support, A Better Hope can continue to offer non-profit agencies direct assistance for day programming, Special Olympics, and other activities that can enrich the lives of CILA residents.

...for the future!
You can help us give disabled adults...
As our son, Kyle Montijo, aged out of regular education, it became clear that navigating adult services would be more arduous in comparison to the public school system. And for those with a similar story, it was once again up to our family to decide the next step.

The school Kyle was leaving behind provided limited support, which left us with the daunting task of finding a long-term care match or CILA (Community Integrated Living Arrangement). The search lasted for two years, and what it showed our family are the massive gaps in support that exist throughout the country for both the agencies that provide services and the families of disabled individuals.

A Better Hope was created as a call to action to provide on-going financial support to various non-profit agencies for quality staff in hopes of creating an environment where our children can thrive independently.
